Internet User Behaviour Model Discovery Process

The Academy of Economic Studies has more than 45000 students and about 5000 computers with Internet access which are connected to AES network. Students can access internet on these computers through a proxy server which stores information about the way the Internet is accessed. In this paper, we describe the process of discovering internet user behavior models by analyzing proxy server raw data and we emphasize the importance of such models for the e-learning environment.Internet, User Behavior, e-Learning

Collaborative Learning and Knowledge Transfer in Consciousness Society

Starting from the expression "workplace learning†which states that the use of personal computers at work or at school reflects learning activities and work activities which are interchangeable at individual level, this paper presents collaborative models dedicated to processes of teaching, learning, assessment and research in education. One of the most important activities is represented by computer supported collaborative learning (CSCL) which, from its occurrence, presented a special interest for researchers in informatics. CSCL is based on human-computer interaction (HCI) and on computer supported cooperative work (CSCW). CSCL promotes in turn the development of computer supported collaborative research (CSCR). Information and communications technologies represent not only a media support but, most of all, a mean for accessing resources worldwide. The development of the information technology and of the information society brought benefits both to the traditional form of education, and to the distance education represented by the assisted instruction. The evolution of the information society led to the emergence of the society based on knowledge which represents an intermediary step between information society and consciousness society, who wants to be a moral society. Influence of Implemented Courseware on Students Knowledge Acquirement

This paper presents the implementation of the courseware stages developed for an economic faculty with teaching in foreign languages with learning on campus through an assisted instruction approach based on a collaborative platform. The implementation of the conceptualization, construction and dialogue stages on the university platform dedicated to students in the first year is explained. We analyze the correlation between the accesses of didactic technologies on the educational platform and the results obtained at the final exam in order to see how the implementation of courseware technologies influenced the knowledge acquirement by students
